THE LOVE LETTER / #1 INTENTION

... and welcome to the LOVE LETTER, Reader.

Thanks for joining the gang – I'm so glad you're here!

I hope you find something that sparks your creativity or deepens your connection. Let's go!

ON INTENTION

How are you doing during these wild times? My month has been slow and turbulent. The simultaneity of realities – feelings, experiences, crises … – being very present. Again, moving from January to February feels like we’re running out of breath to get through the grey and cold days of winter.

How did 2025 begin for you? Did you go with the tradition of starting off with resolutions? A vision board? Goal setting? Roadmapping?

I actually really like this notion of the ‘in between’ that January still inhabits and spending it to tune into the year ahead. While I used to go big on resolutions and goals, I now set intentions instead. Or rather, I set them first.

To me, intention setting means tuning into the state I want to achieve. It feels softer than goal setting, acting like an agent for clarity. Defining the why, informing the goals I set and directing the action steps to take.

Intention setting first came to me on my yoga mat. A ritual at the beginning of class to set your intention for practice. Why are you here? Dedicating the practice to someone, something.

Then, together with my husband, we started the tradition of choosing a topic for the year together. We’ve had travel, work, joy, arrival … and this year it’s exploring the new. And now, that I successfully survived my first year as a solopreneur, I set an intention for my business, too.

Setting clear intentions has been a game changer in smaller ways. For workshops, for meetings, for interactions, for relationships. Why are we doing this? Why is this important? What matters most? How do you want to feel and how do you want others to feel?

Honestly, these days I feel a sense of urgency to spend my time more intentionally – and inspire others to do the same. We are busy, we are worried, we are distracted and many of us are exhausted.

In times like these we need humans who dare to take rest. So they can recharge and have the energy to focus both, their attention and their actions, to what really matters.

It feels timely to end the first 💌 LOVE LETTER with the words of Mary Oliver:

Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?

I'd love to exchange thoughts.
Drop me a line, if you like.

Love, K

hello, you wonderful human. as I’m writing this last newsletter of the year, I am recovering from an evil cold and looking back on a wild month and a full year. Remembering this moment in November where I was still thinking: how nice to fade out the year in a slower notion than usual. Oh well, maybe next year. This month has been one of those, where all of a sudden busyness exploded simultaneously to the structures we’ve build for life & work just crumbling down. I had the awareness of...

hello, you! And just like that, summer is over. Or is it? I’m still holding on to the tired promise of the last warming sun rays, memories of beach days during our Danish summer vacation, and just not quite ready for the change of seasons. And yet, there’s no denying the trees are changing colors. So, how about you? One of my biggest pain points as a one woman show is not having a team. The luxury of having team mates to problem solve together or co-create isn’t a given. This reality has...

hello you, Just a quick hello before I log off for summer vacation. What have you been up to these last weeks—maybe even months? How are you experiencing summer? Mine, so far, has had all the flavours. I’m looking forward to more: slow mornings, sandy toes, and quality time with my boys and the good friends we’re lucky to meet along the way. Because really—spending time with the people we love… isn’t that the whole point? So today, no big leadership insight—just an invitation to pause, breathe...
